Dear CAB,

Happy Birthday! A year ago, you were feted to a very memorable tribute during Shell Club15’s Christmas Party at the Meralco Multi-Purpose Hall when you reached the milestone age of 90. Indeed, time flies and now you are celebrating another birthday.

To many Shell men and women, you personified what we believe are the values of Shell. You are an institution people look up to with awe and inspiration. You convey the unvarnished conviction of doing what is right, not to compromise truth and honesty for expediency. The days you confronted the militant and abusive union in Pandacan many years ago displayed your courage and uncompromising attitude when it comes to principles. In terms of management, you are an edifying person guided by values that would seem to border on impudence – an unrelenting advocate, if right has to be right. You guided Shell through the most difficult time during martial law and two “people powers”.

The men and women of Shell today richly benefited from the the sacrifices you made and the boldness of your decisions. You are our model par excellence.
